Gabriela comes from an Italian-Argentine family and grew up surrounded by the aromas of handmade ravioli and family feasts every Sunday. Her passion for cooking began in her grandfather Ricardo’s kitchen — he was a celebrated Tango Quintet Director and bandoneon player who taught her the beauty of food and tradition. Later, she honed her culinary skills under renowned Italian chef Mario Maiollino while running her own restaurant, Ozono, in Buenos Aires.
Today, Gabriela is an art director and fashion photographer who has lived and worked in Brazil, yet her heart always returns to the kitchen. She loves meeting people from around the world and sharing authentic Argentine and Italian flavors with guests. For Gabriela, cooking is more than a meal — it’s a way to connect, tell stories, and celebrate culture.
“I love to meet people from all over the world and even more to cook for my new friends.”

In-home meal: (1-6 guests) Step into Gabriela’s stunning Buenos Aires apartment and feel transported to an oasis where old-world charm meets modern design. Her home blends elegant European touches with chic, contemporary accents inspired by her years living in Brazil. Watch as she adds the finishing touches to your meal — and sprinkles her handmade empanadas with a secret ingredient you’ll never guess! Then, gather around the dining table for a traditional Argentine meal inspired by the Tucumán province. You might enjoy dishes such as focaccia with salami, mini provoleta (melted cheese), empanadas de carne tucumanas, and carbonada, a rich Argentine beef stew. Finish with a homemade dessert like budín de pan con canela y dátiles con dulce de leche (bread pudding with dates) or arrollado de dulce de leche (a sweet roll filled with dulce de leche), paired with coffee or tea. This is more than just a meal — it’s an authentic Buenos Aires dining experience that beautifully combines culture, conversation, and Argentine hospitality.

We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The house is so gorgeous and Gabriella and Raul are so laid back and hospitable. Always making sure we had something to eat and drink. Before you know it you feel like you are sitting in your new best friend’s kitchen, drinking wine, eating focaccia con salame while Gabriela pats away at empanadas de carne tucumanas. When it is time to eat, you will gather around the table and eat some of the most amazing Argentine food you can imagine. Everything was absolutely delicious. So much thought and time went into each dish and she did a great job explaining each one, why she chose it, any traditions behind it. I still can taste the deep, rich perfectly blended spices of the Carbonada, a traditional stew served inside of a pumpkin. Just when you think you can't take another bite- Gabriela sweeps the table and starts plating not one but two of her signature desserts - both con dulce de leche, of course. This experience surpassed all of my expectations. We left with full bellies, a new found knowledge of Argentinian cuisine and two new Porteno friends.

Gabriela made us some amazing dishes! We had a wonderful morning learning about Argentinian cuisine as well learning about the life of a local!- Lissa June 30, 2025
This felt like less of a class, and more like a visit with a long-time friend. Gabriela's charm, warmth and enthusiasm immediately won us over. We skipped the market tour, and met her at her home, which she remodeled to her exact needs. The kitchen is large, and perfect for sitting, talking and working together. Each dish was fun to help make, and tasted wonderful. The wine flowed freely and paired perfectly. What a wonderful evening. Highly recommended for your next visit to Buenos Aires!- Andy April 26, 2025
We had a wonderful market tour in cooking class with Gabriela. Her home was beautiful. We made empanadas and stew which we’re both absolutely delicious. Her empanadas were some of the best I’ve tried. Gabriela was so much fun and we really enjoyed the evening.- Traveler11 March 29, 2025
Gabriela was great!! Not only were the conversation and food amazing, but her apartment was stunning.- Linda_B January 31, 2023
A Great Time & A New Dish For Home. Our hostess and teacher, Gabriella, showed us how to cook several types of really tasty empanadas and how to form five (that’s what I remember - maybe it was more) shapes of shells with different dough folding and pinching techniques. The pumpkin and cheese were fantastic! The best thing is, it’s easy enough to do and we do them at home all the time now. This was one of the best evenings we had in Buenos Aries and definitely was a bargain at the price. She mentioned that she can teach other classic Argentine foods as well and we will surely call her when we are back. Not to be missed!- Jon A April 01, 2019
