Ine grew up near Ghent in East Flanders, where she learned to cook alongside her father. While her mother prepared everyday family meals, it was her father who invited Ine into the kitchen on weekends to help create memorable Belgian dishes for family and friends. Those early experiences inspired a lifelong passion for cooking and entertaining. Today, Ine welcomes travelers into her modern, minimalist apartment in Brussels for an authentic Belgian culinary experience. Overlooking peaceful neighborhood gardens, her home offers a relaxing setting to discover local food, culture, and hospitality. Like many Belgians, Ine grows fresh herbs on her balcony and incorporates them into her seasonal dishes, creative mocktails, flavored waters, soups, and appetizers. Although Ine works as a communications professional, gastronomy is her true passion. She loves planning menus, experimenting with modern cooking techniques, and showcasing the flavors of Belgian cuisine using fresh, local ingredients. She is also an avid diner who enjoys exploring fine restaurants and keeping up with culinary trends. Whether you're interested in learning about Belgian food traditions, discovering local ingredients, or simply enjoying an authentic home-cooked meal with a Brussels local, Ine loves sharing her culture through food. Be sure to ask her for recommendations on the best restaurants, cafés, and hidden culinary gems in Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, and Ghent.

Ine is a true artist with food! After the heavy stews and rich sauces I tasted in Belgium, Ine's fresh, light and colorful dishes were a delightful respite. She is a wealth of knowledge about the city and its restaurants and takes great pride and care in creating and presenting her dishes. I had a truly wonderful meal and delightful afternoon with the lovely Ine. Even the way she presented me with drinking water was fun - in tall bottles filled with fennel, thyme and cucumber in one and strawberries, lemon and mint in the other. It was spa water! She is a wonderful person to chat with about Brussels and her passion for food and presentation really shines through. Her pea gazpacho was a vivid green and the calamari in tomato coulis just melted in my mouth. I had a wonderful food experience with Ine in her minimalist, modern apartment in Brussels.

This was a great evening with Ine. She walked with us around her neighborhood to market, bakery and butcher. We returned to her home and helped prepare a wonderful meal with appetizers, delicious asparagus and a chicken leak soup that really hit the spot. Wine was included. It was great to share a meal with such a gracious host. We left feeling like we mad a new friend.- bill April 25, 2026
Met Ines at her apartment in Brussels. Started the evening with wine and appetizers on the balcony overlooking the gardens below. Had a great wide ranging conversation. Moved inside for a wonderfully prepared meal and more conversation. Overall an excellent evening of food, wine and conversation. A perfect example of what Traveling Spoon is trying to achieve. Highly recommend.- Robert June 10, 2024
