Chieko is a certified Japanese cooking instructor and passionate home chef who welcomes travelers to her Tokyo cooking studio for authentic, hands-on culinary experiences. Born and raised on Shikoku Island, she grew up surrounded by the freshest seafood, rice, and vegetables from her family’s farm - ingredients that continue to inspire her cooking today. After living in Kyoto, Osaka, and Los Angeles, Chieko now calls Tokyo home, where she and her talented team teach guests how to prepare traditional Japanese dishes using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. She learned the art of home-style Japanese cooking from her mother and loves sharing those same comforting flavors and stories with visitors from around the world. Whether hosted by Chieko or one of her equally skilled instructors, you’ll enjoy an authentic, welcoming, and delicious cooking experience in Tokyo.
