Josh, originally from Portland, Oregon, moved to Spain in 2002 and quickly fell in love with the country’s vibrant culture, language, and cuisine. After years working as a translator, he found his true passion in cooking, learning authentic Spanish recipes and techniques from local families. In 2018, he opened his own Barcelona cooking studio to share his love of Spanish gastronomy with visitors from around the world. Today, Josh specializes in corporate team-building cooking classes in Barcelona, where groups bond over local flavors and friendly competition. Teams can cook side by side to earn titles like Paella Champion or Ultimate Tapas Chef while discovering the joy of Spain’s food culture through fun, hands-on experiences.

Chris guided us through cooking a delicious traditional Spanish dinner… complete with sangria, seafood paella and crema Catalan. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with our entire family. It was the perfect way to round out our trip to Barcelona and our kids loved getting involved in the kitchen. The food was delicious! We would recommend this class to any group looking for a personalized and unique dinner experience.- 818mic December 30, 2024
Best meal of our trip! Our market tour & paella cooking class with Josh was one of the highlights of our time in Barcelona. Josh did a wonderful job teaching us how to make authentic paella. Oh, and the sangria was the best I’ve had!- thespicy July 09, 2024
