Susimar was an amazing host! We made buñuelos, bugambilia, an herb salad, coconut pumpkin soup, and apastelado. The description said we would only make three dishes but Susimar went out of her way to teach us how to make 5 dishes with in-season ingredients from her farm. Susimar was kind and we got along well. She provided slides with recipes and health facts for each dish. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a wonderful cooking experience!

Everything about this experience is magical… From Tony’s beautiful, historic, home / B&B to the flavors, aromas, tastes and stories you’ll experience. If you like Puerto Rico, Tony’s class will make you FALL IN LOVE!!! Honestly, our afternoon cooking, learning and eating with Tony will be a memory that lasts a lifetime. Don’t hesitate to book this. I actually got teary eyed driving back to our Airbnb after the experience because it was over lol! Honestly, it’s pure magic!!

It was our first at-home cooking experience while traveling and we are so thankful to Viviana for opening up her bright, cheerful home to us. The kitchen workshop had more than enough space and we enjoyed learning about the history, culture, and flavors of comida criolla. The process was so smooth-sailing, with a menu based on our preferences and room for a bit of improvisation as well. It was such a treat to share these dishes over the dining table and to have so much food that we were able to enjoy leftovers! It really felt like a bit of home away from home.

Yeira was amazing! It was a 10/10 experience. This was definitely a highlight of our trip! We learned about Puerto Rican cultural dishes right in her home. She was high energy, incorporated great connecting activities, she is very knowledgeable and fun! The food was delicious and our students loved the learning experience and that it was so hands on! We had an absolutely amazing experience with Yeira! It was beyond incredible! She uses all fresh ingredients and showed us not only how to cook the recipes that we were making, but to have fun in the kitchen with each other. This is great for couples, families, or friends who are traveling together. It is all about connecting with each other through cooking. She even has a website where she shares more about that and the experiences called Cooknnecting. Everything tasted out of this world...and Yeira kept saying that we were the ones who made it! It was such a homey feel and was exactly what we were hoping for. It's a must do!

If you're looking for culture, great food, and warm friendly hosts this is for you! We absolutely enjoyed learning how to make local cuisine along and learning about Puerto Rico from our hosts . Their lovely home is absolutely stunning both inside and out. I highly recommend you bring a camera for the views of the mountains. I would highly recommend Dos Marias. Our hosts Lela and Rafi are absolutely wonderful and welcoming!
